Welcoming new co-chairs for Blueprint’s Governing Council

September 20, 2023

We would like to introduce our new co-chairs for the Blueprint’s Governing Council, LaQuetta Walker and Mark Kling. They will be instrumental in leading and guiding the Blueprint through its transformation journey.

The Blueprint’s Governing Council is made up entirely of our partners and collaborators, with 20 current members. They collectively oversee our nonprofit’s strategy, budget, planning, and evaluation. Members also participate in committees, workgroups, and special projects of the Blueprint as they’re able.

LaQuetta is a community advocate and leader for social justice and change. She’s served on the Blueprint’s Governing Council since 2022. LaQuetta believes that “we cannot improve food insecurities without focusing on the social determinants of health to address the needs of all children, families, and older adults.”

Mark recently retired after serving as executive director of the Family Resource Center Association for nearly 15 years. He is a seasoned leader with strong management, collaboration, legislative, and strategic skills. Mark has served the Governing Council since its inception and was co-chair from 2019 - 2021.

Our team also would like to thank our outgoing co-chairs, Meighen Lovelace and Stephanie Salazar-Rodriguez, for their service. We’re immensely grateful for their active leadership, unwavering dedication, and valuable contributions to our shared vision of creating a Colorado where everyone who lives here can access the food they choose where they want it and when they need it. And, we’re thrilled to have their continued participation with the Blueprint’s Governing Council.
