LOOKING FOR FOOD RESOURCES?

The Colorado Blueprint to End Hunger does not provide direct access to food in communities, but here are some available options:

  • Call 2-1-1 and a navigator can help you find food right away and sign up for additional help.

  • Visit COFoodFinder.org to find available resources in your local area, or call Hunger Free Colorado’s food resource hotline at 855-855-4626. The statewide hotline is toll-free and connects Coloradans to needed food and nutrition resources, regardless of legal status. Services are available in 150+ languages, and all caller information is confidential.

    • If you’re based in Southern Colorado and seeking assistance with your SNAP application, contact Care & Share Food Bank for Southern Colorado’s hotline at (719) 666-3849. They offer English and Spanish telephonic application assistance for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

  • Visit Colorado PEAK to apply for food assistance benefits through SNAP, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. (Since approval can take weeks, please consider additional options if you’re in immediate need.)

  • Visit KidsFoodFinder.org, text FOOD to 304-304, or call 866-348-6479 to find summer meal sites near you. They provide no-cost breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and/or snacks for youth between the ages of 0 - 18; no ID or registration is required to participate.

Here are some others resources that may be helpful:

  • Find out which public benefits and tax credits you’re eligible for:
Use MyFriendBen.org to find out the dollar value of eligible benefits and the time it takes to enroll, all in less than 10 minutes in English or Spanish. (The online tool was developed by Gary Community Ventures, with input from families and other partner organizations like the Blueprint.)
