JOIN OUR NETWORK
Let’s work together to alleviate hunger now while building more responsive, equitable, and sustainable food systems for the future!
The Colorado Blueprint to End Hunger envisions a Colorado where everyone can access the food they choose, where they want it, and when they need it. To achieve this, we’re building a movement for resilient, local food systems by shifting power back to our communities.
We convene partners, support local solutions, strengthen resources, and champion bold policy change to generate momentum for those who lead this movement – the people who grow, produce, sell, eat, and influence policies around food. All of our work directly aligns with our vision, mission, and core values, as well as our four commitments.
Anyone can join our network of collaborators and efforts to achieve food justice and sovereignty for all in Colorado.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED & STAY INFORMED
Here are a few ways to engage with the Blueprint:
Start by completing our new member form. It should only take 5- 15 minutes. This helps us find out your areas of interest, make connections, update our social network map, and ensure we’re being equitable in our work. Our team is also creating a public network directory that you’re welcome to have your information included in and use when ready!
Join one of our committees.
Those committees include community voice, communications & accessibility, data & evaluation, federal policy, and state policy. Contact the staff liaison to express interest and schedule a required orientation.
Participate in one of our current projects.
There are several currently active and time-limited projects, with several accepting new members. Contact the staff liaison to express interest and schedule a required orientation.
Sign up for our newsletter and email updates, as well as follow us on social media.
Use our free resources like the data dashboard, toolkits, reports, and more.
WHAT TO EXPECT
With equity as one of our core values, here’s what you can expect as a member of the Blueprint network:
We host all Blueprint meetings and activities in both English and Spanish and also offer closed captioning. (If you have any other accomodation needs to fully participate in our meetings, please contact us.)
We offer compensation to anyone who voluntarily participates and is not representing an organization as a paid employee.
We read an abbreviated version of our equity statement at the beginning of each meeting. It serves as a reflection of the Blueprint’s own commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging, guided by our organization’s internal values and principles.
We have established norms and expectations for all meetings to support our pledge to equitable practices.
Looking for more information or have any questions? Feel free to contact our team.
We look forward to having you involved in our collaborative efforts!
