Your vote matters!

Your vote matters!

October 30, 2024

Have you voted yet? Election Day is coming up on Tuesday, November 5, so ensure you’re registered and prepared to vote – and encourage others to do the same!

During this election, Colorado voters will make decisions that affect the future of our nation, state, and local communities, including electing the next President, eight U.S. Representatives, and state and local legislators, as well as weighing in on critical ballot initiatives.

Your vote helps amplify the needs and priorities of our Colorado communities, including sustainable food systems and access to nutritious, culturally relevant food for all. Our Policy & Community Justice Team shares more about why your voter matters.

Here are some resources to help you fill out your ballot:

  • Statewide ballot guide: Take a look at the 2024 Ballot Guide from Bell Policy Center, our partners in economic policy that supports all Coloradans.

  • Local ballot initiatives: The Colorado Health Foundation, in partnership with the Colorado Health Institute, offers the Local Ballot Measure Tracker to help you understand what's on your ballot in your city or county and statewide.

  • Congressional candidates: The Colorado Blueprint to End Hunger collected candidate questionnaires for key 2024 Congressional races, in partnership with Feeding Colorado, to inform voters about their stances on issues related to food insecurity.

Make a plan to vote if you haven’t already!

You can vote in person or return your ballot to any 24-hour, drop-off box by 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5. If you drop off your ballot in a different county, it will be routed to your County Clerk’s office for counting.

Haven’t registered to vote yet? There’s still time! You can register and vote in person on Tuesday, November 5.

If you have already returned your ballot by mail or drop-off box, check the status of your ballot.

Together, we can create a future where everyone in Colorado can access they food they choose, where they want it, and when they need it.
