Recruiting for new advisory board

Recruiting for new advisory board

August 1, 2024

The Colorado Blueprint to End Hunger is building a movement for a more responsive, equitable, and sustainable food system. We’re shifting power to communities by convening partners, supporting local solutions, strengthening resources, and championing bold policy change.

Our work is guided by the principles of food justice and food sovereignty as part of our organizational transformation. We believe that equitable access to healthy, affordable, and culturally affirming food is a basic human right. And, our communities should have the power to choose what they eat, where it comes from, how it’s grown, and when it's available

As the Blueprint continues to fully transition, we’ll sunset the organization’s Governing Council this September and establish a food sovereignty advisory board in October. Our new Advisory Board of nine community representatives will play a pivotal role in ensuring all Blueprint efforts are deeply rooted in community initiatives and guided by the above principles.

We’re recruiting interested community members – representatives of local food coalitions or Colorado communities – to join our Advisory Board. Terms range from 24 - 36 months, with $400/month of compensation for each member’s time and talent, including meetings, correspondence, and virtual voting. Applications are due Friday, August 30

Join the Blueprint’s Executive Director of Integration, Joël McClurg, for an informal FAQ session about this opportunity on Thursday, August 15, from 10 - 11 a.m. It’s optional and open to all interested applicants.
