SNAP Advocacy for the Houseless (Workgroup 4 Project Team)
Meets on the fourth Thursday of every month from 12 - 1 p.m.
Julie Hall of GraceFull convenes a group of advocates to research and elevate ways that the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) can be more accessible for those in Colorado who are unhoused, transitioning into housing, or facing instability in their housing. This work, which started in 2022, directly aligns with the Blueprint’s goal for Workgroup 4 – improving processes and increasing enrollment for SNAP and WIC – so they officially joined as a project team over the summer of 2023 (but do meet separately from the workgroup’s monthly meetings).
Contact Greta Allen, the Blueprint’s Policy Manager, if you would like to learn more about this team and/or the workgroup.
Anyone is welcome to join and participate! All Blueprint meetings and activities are hosted in both English and Spanish, and closed captioning is offered. As part of our commitment to equity, compensation is also available to anyone who voluntarily participates and is not representing an organization as a paid employee.
